1. SKIP PLASTIC STRAW, SAVE TURTLES!

Today there are many alternatives to plastic utensils. We must do our best to avoid using plastics. Because we know that every year, more than 8 million tonnes of plastic waste are dumped into the oceans. ... The most frequently found samples are: plastic bag materials, plastic particles. These residues are the cause of the death of more than 100,000 marine mammals and the extinction of more than 1,400 marine species . So now think about these little animals and try to find an ecological or environmentally friendly alternative.

2. SWAP YOUR SUNSCREEN

If you’re spending significant time in the sun, then sunscreen is key to protecting your health. But many sunscreens contain oxybenzone and octinoxate, chemicals that contribute to the “rapid and complete bleaching of hard corals, even at low concentrations,” according to a 2008 study published in Environmental Health Perspectives.
When reaching for sunscreen this summer, opt for something that protects both you and the environment.
Some island like Hawaii has, moreover, banned the sale of sunscreen containing these chemicals in May to protect its reefs, which tourists frequently visit. In Hanauma Bay alone, an estimated 412 pounds of sunscreen was found on reefs in 2015.

3. DON'T THROW ANYTHING OVERBOARD

This may seem totally logical to you however in the facts this is unfortunately not the case for everyone.
Nothing should be thrown overboard and all rubbish should go into a trash bag immediately to avoid it blowing into the sea. If you bring floaties, make sure they don't drift off and get lost at sea.
Our oceans welcome us and allow us to live beautiful experiences at sea, respecting them, we allow them to remain clean, healthy and appreciable for all.

4. SAVE WATER, STAY SALTY

Did you know that an average shower lasts 8.2 minutes and uses 65L of water? Especially if you rinse a little too often when coming out of the seaIf you absolutely have to shower after your sea-swim, try to shower with several.

Don’t forget that you play a critical role in our sustainable story. Help us protect our oceans and preserve the places we fall in love with.
